Arrowbank Lodge

Bed & Breakfast

Welcome                Accommodation & Tariff        Things To Do & Directions

John and Jill welcome you to the website for Arrowbank Lodge, a peaceful and friendly B&B overlooking the River Arrow and meadows beyond, yet 4 minutes walk from Kington High Street. Kington is on the Offa's Dyke Path, a very popular national walking trail, and we are 2 miles from the Welsh border. We have been awarded VisitEngland 4 Stars, together with their Silver Award, every year since September 2013, but unfortunately we are not taking any bookings for 2019.

Bedrooms: All 3 are en-suite (one, the twin, has a private bathroom across the landing with its own key), and all have tea and coffee making facilities, flat-screen TVs, radio alarms and hairdryers.  Fresh milk and soft drinks are available from a small fridge on the residents’ landing, the latter at reasonable cost.

Relaxing: There is a guests’ lounge in the conservatory, which overlooks the river and where tea and coffee can be made.  Guests can also relax at tables and chairs by the river.

Facilities: We have a drying room for wet walking gear, and luggage transfers for walkers can be arranged with prior notice. Cycle storage is available and there is ample parking, lit in the evenings.  Wi-fi access is available on request. No smoking, regretfully no pets and sadly, for safety reasons because of the river, no children under 12 years. All our bedrooms are on the first floor, and we have an Access Statement available on request.

Food: Breakfast is taken in either the dining room or conservatory.  There is a wide breakfast choice which includes fresh fruits, yoghurt, cereals, porridge, smoked fish and full English. There are various places to eat dinner, in and around Kington, and we generally give details of these to guests on arrival.
